August 24 thru August 28 and then from September 1 thru September 6 are great dates that are still available.  Personally,  September is  my favorite time of the year to be in Whitefish due to how open the golf courses become, how easy it is to get around the park and how few people are out on the lake! 

Christmas 2008 from Dec. 27 thru January 2, 2009 is also presently booked but there are other fantastic skiing dates available all winter long!!  There is a complete calendar if you choose the link in the upper left hand and go to "dates available" page and then click on the link on that page!

NOW ABOUT THE HOME - The home is a custom built 3,000 sq ft log home that can sleep up to 10 adults in 3 KING SIZED BEDS ( in three seperate bedrooms) and 4 EXTRA LONG TWIN BEDS (in the loft area). The house is hence a three bedroom two bath home with a total of four sinks (two in each bathroom) and three toilets (two in one bathroom and one in the master bathroom) and has a very large deck on three of the four sides of the home.  Recently added are wi-fi for internet access at the home and two of the three bedrooms have tv's with dvd's and 200 channels of satelite tv.

Many homes offering sleeping for 6+ people are only half this size and when you add up taxes and cleaning cost a lot more! The roof is vaulted to 30 feet in the living/dining room and has a very open and communal feel to it - great for re-acquainting yourself with family and friends.  The home is surrounded by 20 acres of forested land and you will be just across the street from about 1,000 acres of state owned wilderness. What this means to you and your family and friends is TOTAL PRIVACY! In the summer you are within 40 minutes of Glacier National Park. You can walk or mountainbike for miles right from the front door.  There is so much to do in the area!   I can set you up with a fly-fishing guide or you can whitewater raft one of many of rivers as choices. You can water ski whitefish lake or golf on any of the eight fantastic championship golf courses - one of which is located just 5 minutes from the front door. We are sure you will really enjoy the cabin!


As you can see, the living room and dining room areas are very open and bright with a vaulted ceiling 30 feet overhead. There are two couches - one is visible in this photo. It can seat a lot of friends and family to discuss the days events!

Sitting in the comfortable teak chairs on the front porch you look out on the large property with no other homes within eyesight. In the evening, this area is often filled with deer, especially if you put out a salt lick or some bird seed on the bench by the bird feeder. There are also Elk, Wild Turkeys and many other types of wildlife in the area. When you are on one of the house's decks, you are surrounded by natural beauty and hiking/cross country trails start right here and go through hundreds of acres of wilderness areas.

The home is a traditional log cabin that is only eight years old. The ceilings in the common areas are vaulted to 30'. There are two bedrooms, a loft and a bathroom with two sinks and two toilets upstairs and the master bedroom is downstairs.

All three bedrooms are spacious and boast KING SIZED BEDS! The loft has four extra long single beds. There are two sinks and a luxurious Jacuzzi tub in the master suite.  Two of the three bedrooms have color televisions with Dish Network if you need to check back in with the real world - I try not to ever turn them on when I am up there.  Both televisions also have DVD players.

There are many nearby restaurants but the very large kitchen is home to a magnificent 5' wide commercial grade Wolf Stove to make cooking special meals easy. The BEST part about the home is that you can litterally have five people in the kitchen, six in the dining room and another six on the couches and all be interacting with each other due to how big and open the common areas are and how they flow into each other! You will be conveniently located within 10 minutes of downtown Whitefish OR downtown Kalispell. 20 to 30 minutes from Big Mountain Ski Resort, 10 minutes to Whitefish Lake, 5 minutes to Northern Pines Golf Course, 20 minutes from the Glacier International Airport (F.C.A) in Kalispell and a half hour to Glacier National Park. You can also hike and cross country ski from the front porch out onto thousands of acres of state and privately owned wilderness acres.
